REVIBE project
REVIBE project. Reuse and Life of Batteries and Energy
The ReViBE project was created to strengthen and promote the research and work carried out both at Ikerlan and at the UPC in the world of batteries.
Both centers analyze, through different tools, the aging mode, the health status estimation and the end of life of lithium ion batteries, mostly used by the electric vehicle industry. In addition, the automotive industry considers that these batteries have sufficient capacity to be used in other applications once they have finished their life in the vehicle.
In this sense, the ReViBE project delves into the possibilities, business, analysis of the state of health and life expectancy of these batteries in these second lives, this being the reason that led to the acronym and symbol of the project.
