Carlos Sierra Garriga

PhD in Industrial Engineering from the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya (UPC) in 2002 and full-time collaborating professor in the Department of Engineering and Construction Projects at ETSEIB, since 1995.

Responsible for the Laboratory of Luminotecnia of the UPC.

Apart from teaching, within the UPC, he develops research projects and technology transfer to industry and administration, in computer, lighting, environmental, electrical, energy and design.

Member of the Spanish Lighting Committee. Delegate for Catalonia of the Spanish Lighting Committee between 2005 and 2009. Spanish representative in the V Division of the International Commission on Illumination: Outdoor lighting and other lighting applications. Member of the Lighting Working Group of the College of Industrial Engineers of Catalonia. Vice-President of the APDI (Professional Association of Lighting Designers).
